Sayers Dam

I had to run a few errands in State College earlier this week. I took my fishing gear along with plans to fish Spring Creek. However curiosity got the better of me and I ended up driving a little further to check out Sayers Dam in Howard. 

 I had never fished there before, but have heard it offers good fishing opportunities. It did not disappoint! I was able to land several crappie and a nice bluegill while fishing off the bank with my fly rod. I only fished a very small section of the lake and I’m sure there is lots of additional great water to explore. It’s a trip I definitely plan to make again in the future.
